Captain Jack: You were born a male, when did you realize that you identified as a girl?
Bambi Bliss: Around the age of 10. Once I started having a better understanding of what sexuality was between men and women and the differences as a young kid, I knew I was very different but I did not understand the true nature of the differences in sexualities between males and females until I was a little bit older.
CJ: Was it confusing being around the other kids?
Bambi: I wanted to do what the other kids did but I couldn’t. I wanted to play with girl toys. I remember complaining to my mom that I always had to wear pants or shorts and shy couldn’t I wear something different. I always felt at such a young age drawn towards fashion and clothing and dresses and other things and I knew there was so much to wear than just boring man clothes.
CJ: When did you start your treatments?
Bambi: I started hormone replacement therapy February 3 years ago.
CJ: When was the first time you had sex?
Bambi: First time touching about 8 or 9, full sex 11 or 12.
CJ: Was it with a girl? And did it feel good? Were you even more confused after that?
Bambi: A girl from my school. It was great! I love women! I am more interested in women than men. It did confuse me a lot. It was natural and at the same time, opposite of what I felt.
CJ: What do you mean the opposite of what you felt?
Bambi: Being on top, penetrating and being the dominant one. I always felt like I should be on bottom. I always put myself in the other person’s shoes and I always imagined myself being them how it would feel for them and what the pleasure of being taken would feel like.
CJ: And how does that feel like?
Bambi: Very confusing. By nature and by the human body, I was supposed to play one role but as a trans person, I have the conflict of wanting to be in the other role at the same time.
CJ: So even though you like women more and are more attracted to women, you still prefer to get your ass fucked?
Bambi: No, not necessarily. I thoroughly enjoy still having my penis and being able to use it. I prefer women for a lot of reasons…their body, their mindset, emotions and a lot more.
CJ: When was your first time with a guy?
Bambi: 15.
CJ: That must have been really confusing!
Bambi: Very.
CJ: How did you deal with it?
Bambi: Crossdressing.
CJ: You started crossdressing? Did you crossdress to school?
Bambi: Society would not allow that. Even nowadays it is still frowned upon. And especially having the parents that I had I was completely closeted and if I had came out at a young age, my dad probably would have killed me.
CJ: So you just crossdressed in private?
Bambi: Yes.
CJ: When did you finally start being yourself? Was it after you turned 18?
Bambi: Fully when I was actually able to be myself was only around 3 years ago. I had a partner that accepted me as a closet crossdresser but nothing more and when I tried to transition more with that partner, they ended the relationship over gender change. I’ve been experimenting and playing with women’s clothing, makeup and other things for many years but it was all private and very hidden.
CJ: How old are you now?
Bambi: 25.
CJ: Why did you decide to join the porn industry?
Bambi: I started webcamming in August of last year. I only recently moved to Vegas in February of this year and then started doing a lot more hardcore porn. Then I did one small homemade clip with a male talent in San Diego before I came to Vegas but, other than that, I just did some webcamming then came to Vegas and met a lot more people and connected to do the hardcore stuff.
CJ: How did you come up with your stage name?
Bambi: Originally, I had a slightly longer name but it was still Bambi. It’s my ex-boyfriend that actually made it. Then, when I moved to Vegas, I changed the ending to Bliss. The one thing I always tell people is that I have big, beautiful Bambi eyes.
CJ: You’re very passable. When it comes time to becoming intimate with someone, when do you tell them your story?
Bambi: I get that a lot. And, honestly, it just depends on the person and the situation but I usually tell people right away depending on the interaction that I am seeking from that person. There’s no need for me to hide it from certain people or deny who I truly am. If I know the relationship isn’t going to go there, I just allow certain people to think that I am a normal cisgender female and I never care to inform them because they won’t be in that part of my life like that.
CJ: How often do you masturbate, not for work purposes?
Bambi: Right now, I masturbate probably every single day, at least once.
CJ: Did you watch porn before you got into the industry?
Bambi: Yes, I have been a very big porn watcher my whole life. It is very cool to have watched and admired some of the adult performers long before becoming one and then have them follow me on Twitter. I get so excited and ecstatic when one of my idols follows me back.
CJ: What was your favorite genre and did it change when you transitioned?

Bambi: There’s no category that’s too crazy for me. I even listen to foreign music all the time. I speak Spanish so I’d listen to Spanish music as well.

Bambi: Probably The Labyrinth with David Bowie or something funny. I like comedy. I like The Never Ending Story too. That was a really good movie when I was growing up. And then definitely a newer movie that I liked a lot when I got older was Blow with Johnny Depp.
CJ: What about TV shows?
Bamib: I don’t really like TV shows. I never really got into them.
CJ: What’s your favorite food?
Bambi: Probably chicken pot pie then good Mexican food followed by lasagna. There are quite a few Mexican dishes that, when prepared right, takes me to a special place of my family and growing up and my grandma and tortillas that can’t be replaced.
