Captain Jack interviews Jeanie Marie Sullivan
Jeanie is a veteran of the adult industry who filmed her first porn scene the day she turned 18. That was over 11 years ago and she’s still going strong. I had a chance to catch up with her recently to talk about her career and her future in the business.
Captain Jack: Tell me about Jeanie Marie Sullivan.
Jeanie Marie Sullivan: I was born in Las Vegas. I had a split custody deal so I was in Vegas every other weekend and the rest of the time in California. I went back and forth and back and forth. It was fabulous. I freakin’ loved it. I constantly moved schools. It wasn’t a negative thing, my parents weren’t transient or anything, my dad had money. I stayed with my dad for a couple weekends and he would take me out to do the fun shit, he was a professional gambler. He sold exotic birds to the casinos. It was a pretty cool life.
CJ: I read somewhere that you got into porn the day you turned 18?
Jeanie: Sure did. A lot of my family is in entertainment. For example, my brother worked for Vanity Fair and Cosmopolitan. He’s a big runway model or fashion model and dancer. He was also in Grease 2, The Chorus Line and a lot of Vegas productions. I had other family that was entertainment and everyone seemed to have their niche. It was kind of like, porn was unpaved; no one in my family has touched it. So I decided to touch it. That was my plan has far back as junior high. I had a weird reputation in school. I was kind of a popular girl but I was very sexually promiscuous. The custody was split and I wasn’t grounded anywhere so I didn’t care about my reputation. I ended up dating someone from junior high, the first person I was attracted to sexually. I stayed around the same folks and I’m really happy about it. I’m accepted now and everyone congratulates me now.
CJ: When did you lose your virginity?
Jeanie: I was having group sex in junior high. That’s how I lost my virginity. I was being teased by a group of boys and I was annoyed with them. I told them, ‘You’re from fucking California, you’re soft, first of all. Secondly, if I got naked in front of you, you wouldn’t know what to do with me!’ Eventually, I called them all out and I ended up meeting up with them after school. I broke them off one at a time and laughed and walked out. I was at school the next day and I looked at them funny. ‘Yeah? You think you’re ready to talk shit? OK, meet me in the bedroom!’ 3 or 4 people at the same time.
CJ: How old were you?
Jeanie: Probably about 13.
CJ: Do you have a count of how many guys you slept with before you got in the industry?
Jeanie: Oh, God. Probably a lot. I was very sexually active. Very sexually active. I was having sex with girls, or trying to have sex with girls, around the age of 7. I started really, really fucking young. It was interesting. That’s how I knew. No reason to deny what you are. About the time Jurassic Park came out, we had a big stuffed toy and a neighbor girl had a Winnebago or something. I was showing her some things and I was the boy. I was walking her though it that way. That’s how I started opening up my sexuality.
CJ: Was there any nervousness when you started filming? I mean all these people are there watching you fuck. What was your first scene like?
Jeanie: I was terrified. The first day I danced in the cabaret, I made $1. So I quit that. I was recruited form Jim South. I was with World Modeling and they gave me my first gig and I was terrified! Afterwards, I thought it might be an initiation. It got better after that and the rest is history!
CJ: In your 10 years, what would you say have been the biggest changes in the industry?
Jeanie: Production quality, the level of production, the type of content that’s being shot, the type of issues that were being addressed. There was the era of Jenna Jameson, big budget productions like Pirates. The budgets were bigger and stars were really stars. Adult stars were competitive with mainstream stars. What they were doing was cool enough. The money they were making was justified what they were doing. It was cool to be infamous. At the time, I thought it would be more cutting edge to be infamous than famous. Cooler. Those were the things that were different.
CJ: What’s your favorite position?
Jeanie: Doggie style. But I just signed with 101 Modeling for girl/girl and solo.
CJ: What would you say is the ultimate Jeanie Marie Sullivan performance?
Jeanie: I’ve always really loved Vivid. I got an opportunity to work with them. I was in Axel Braun’s X-Men parody where I was Emma Frost. That was cool because of the company. I didn’t really like being dressed up in the costume. (laughs) Also, my work with Wicked. I was recently in Starmaker. I really loved working with them. I also really love Hustler. They’ve been very good to me. They’re one of the only companies I work with presently.
CJ: What do you like sexually? What gets Jeanie wet?
Jeanie: I’m an intellectual person so I think sex starts with the brain. I think if a person is able to connect with me. If you can flirt with me intellectually, I think that’s where it starts. You have to have a brain. If you don’t have a brain, I’m not going to be attracted to you.
CJ: Are you submissive or dominant?
Jeanie: I’m dominant.
CJ: With both men and women?
Jeanie: No, with men. With women, I’m a switch.
CJ: In your personal life, have you ever used a strap-on on a guy?
Jeanie: Yes.
CJ: How often do you masturbate?
Jeanie: A lot. (laughs) At least daily. Usually multiple times when I do, about 3 times.
CJ: What’s the preferred method?
Jeanie: My hands. I had a Hitachi and I loved it. I got rid of it and realized my sex life improved dramatically. I’m against Hitachis now. I’ll use one on set if I need to produce a result quickly. I don’t really think they’re good for girls. They really mess up your sensitivity. I’ve only cum from having intercourse once from having something inside me. I’m a clitoral person. Jeanie: Off cam, I’m a very big marijuana enthusiast. I’m a grower. I have some deaths from cancer in my family so I’m trying to address cancer through medical marijuana. That’s a big passion of mine. I’m also a big fan of fine arts. I’m constantly frequenting museums. If I can’t go to a museum, I’m constantly online looking at highbrow, and lowbrow, art. I’m also an aspiring director. I directed a film before for Adam and Eve. It got nominated in Showtime’s first annual awards for Best Cinematography. That was my first attempt and I really love it. Finally, I also do makeup.
CJ: What kind of music do you like?
Jeanie: I only listen to rap. Exclusively, I listen to nothing else.
CJ: What’s your favorite movie?
Jeanie: They’re kind of obscure. I like A Ghost In The Darkness. I also like Memento. I like movies like that. I like art house movies. I like intellectual movies, things you have to think about.
CJ: What’s your favorite TV shows?
Jeanie: This is where my lowbrow comes in. (laughs) I like lowbrow more than fine art. I really love Trailer Park Boys. I think they’re hilarious. I really love the Sopranos. I discovered them late but I love it.
CJ: What’s your favorite food?
Jeanie: Red meat. Bloody. As bloody as possible!
CJ: What does the future hold for Jeannie Marie Sullivan? Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Jeanie: I see myself hopefully being a progressive company owner. I hope to be a director and owning a competitive marijuana business. I want to direct, I want to cultivate and I want to be successful at it.
