Kendra Spade Talks with Captain Jack
I have had the opportunity to meet a lot of people in the industry but I don’t think there’s anyone as nice as Kendra. Everytime she sees me, she makes it a point to give me a hug, no matter if she’s injured or not! She is so kind and compassionate yet also very intelligent. We always get into some nice conversations and I’ve been trying to set up a follow-up interview for a while now! We finally had a chance to chat last week and it was well worth the wait!
Captain Jack: You just appeared at the Adult Entertainment Expo in Vegas. Was that your first time signing?
Kendra: That was my 3rd AVN and at my first AVN, I was signing for a smaller company. Last year I didn’t sign but this year I signed for Adult Time so it was my first time signing for a major company.
CJ: How was the experience?
Kendra: It was crazy! Like I said, the first time I signed, no one knew me and this year, I had two time slots and both days, the line was never ending full of fans! That was cool!
CJ: I hope that every one of your fans gets to meet you at some point because you are such a sweetheart. You are so nice!
Kendra: Thank you! I really appreciate that. That means a lot to me. I feel that in real life that everyone is going through a lot of things so if you can be nice, it starts to become habit.
CJ: Last year, we got into an intense conversation about rough sex. Just how rough do you like it?
Kendra: I don’t even remember what my answer to you was before but I do know that my answer today is different than any other time I’ve been asked that. I used to really, really, really be into rough sex. I wanted to be thrown around and essentially manhandled. But as I have gotten older, my preferences have gotten a little more picky. Unless we’re tight and I really trust you, I don’t want to be thrown around by you. Before I would let anyone choke me out or tie me up or spank me or do all these things but now I don’t want just anyone doing that to me. So there is some male and female talent that I am comfortable with that I’ll let handle me roughly and that’s on or off camera. As far as rough sex from someone that is not in porn, I do not trust you at all. (laughs) I don’t know if this person’s going to mark me or if people will find out that I’m having sex with people outside of porn. (laughs) There’s still a kink inside of me that enjoys being choked and used but I’m more selective now and I don’t trust as easily as I used to.
CJ: When someone chokes you out to the point of passing out, how long are you out for?
Kendra: I don’t know. It just depends. (laughs) My ex-boyfriend used to always play this game with me where he would choke me and see how long he could choke me for until I would either pass out or couldn’t take it anymore. He would just keep going and it was the most exhilarating game for me. I just loved it. He was the only person I would allow to do that to me the way he did it. I trusted him with my life!
CJ: You are just a beautiful young woman, at what age did you learn the power of the pussy?
Kendra: You’ve met me and have gotten to know me, I’m very, very similar to my mom. My mom has always been the type to always flirt with everyone. As I watched that growing up, it was never a sexual or romantic kind of flirting, it was a delicate stroke of a person’s ego. CJ: For fans that are new to you, what are some of your favorite scenes that you could recommend?
Kendra: Probably my favorite scene out right now is for Jules Jordan and the collaboration with the directing team of Disciples of Desire. They are super, super good at what they do. They’re so talent and it’s so much more than just porn. I just haven’t come across intelligent film makers the way that they are. We shot this crazy scene with Jax Slayer and he was running down the streets of LA naked to come fuck me. That was the whole premise of the scene. That clip went viral on Twitter. It has 3.3 million views and it went mainstream. It’s so funny and so well done and filmed nicely too. That’s one of my favorite scenes so far, it’s an anal scene. I also really like Shake Shop Shag for Brazzers with Markus Dupree. It’s an anal scene and I think that scene captures the essence of who I am.
CJ: Are there any performers or directors you would love to work with that you haven’t had a chance to yet?
Kendra: I haven’t shot for Whitney Wright as a director. I’m really intrigued and would love to have Whitney direct me. I want to work with Ivy Lebelle and I still have not.
CJ: You haven’t shot a DP yet! Is that in the cards for this year?
Kendra: I’ve never been with more than one guy at a time. It’s weird, huh? Everyone thought I have shot a DP or a boy/boy/girl but I haven’t. I also haven’t shot a gangbang or a blowbang. There’s still a few first that I have to do and that’s one of them. I would like to package all my firsts into a showcase. I’m not opposed to shooting a lot of things but I haven’t had the opportunities or the bookings. And I haven’t eagerly been seeking it out either.
CJ: Did you watch porn before you got into the industry?
Kendra: Oh yes. I was a huge porn fan that was the whole reason why I wanted to do porn. I’m a huge James Deen fan. He’s so rough. He just uses them like they’re little fuck dolls. That makes me so wet! He did this scene with Kristina Rose and I watched that scene like 1000 times. That was one of the only porns that I watched when I was too young to be watching porn. I didn’t realize they were porn stars. I thought they were random, amateur people and then this video that Belladonna and Aiden Riley shot in 2004. I watched it way after that but that’s when they made it. I thought it was just these two people fucking in a hallway. (laughs) A huge part of it too is that he has this confidence about him. The way he holds himself, he knows he’s James Deen.
CJ: Do you have any fantasies you would like to live out on camera?
Kendra: I really, really, really want to get DP’d. I would love that! That sounds wonderful and it’s something that I think about often. CJ: What have you learned about yourself sexually since joining porn?

Let’s face it, before I did porn, I was having way more sex off-camera than I am now. I was having more sex in general before I did porn. I was fucking every guy. CJ: You told me the story last time of how you got your shithead ex-boyfriend into the University of Washington by writing his paper because he was a way worse student than you. You went to school in California and eventually joined porn. Any regrets?
Kendra: First, I have no regrets. Absolutely none. That’s something that I’ve been working on for the last 6 months. I have no regrets, none. Everything is a lesson. I am ultimately glad that I ended up in Los Angeles and am doing what I’m doing now. I said to my mom one time, ‘It’s not fair. All these girls that I went to high school with; their parents are putting them in college and now they’re going to do this job and they’ll feel so accomplished in their life. And I’m just in California doing porn. I wish I had done this; I wish I had done that.’ My mom said, ‘No you don’t! I don’t know why you’re thinking like this. It’s obvious that it upsets you but you have to count your blessings.’ So much of my life right now, 5 years ago I could never have imagined that it would be where it is and how it is. Not just that, the friendships that I’ve made, I live in LA which is everyone’s dream…my life would not be how it is had I gone to the University of Washington. I would probably be very depressed if I was there. I am exactly where I’m supposed to be in this moment. I have no regrets. I’m glad everything happened the way it happened and also glad that I have no debts.
