London River Talks with Captain Jack

Captain Jack: Tell me about London River.
London River: I grew up in Nebraska and there’s not that much interesting to say about that. (laughs) My family had a small farm. I went to college at the University of Nebraska.
CJ: How long did you stay in Nebraska?
London: Until I was 23.
CJ: How old are you?
London: I’m 34.
CJ: How long have you been in the industry?
London: I started doing BDSM scenes about 5 or 6 years ago. I just did bondage and stuff like that but then I started adding boy/girl to that. A little bit less than 2 years ago is when I started doing “normal” porn, whatever normal porn is! (laughs)
CJ: You started in the industry at a later date, did you have any regular jobs?
London: I was a teacher. I moved to Costa Rica to be with a partner because I went there to do volunteer work in college. After college, I moved there to teach English in a monastery school.
CJ: What led you to the adult industry?
London: I had already been dancing. I was a stripper through college and even in Costa Rica, I would take the school breaks off and go to Chicago to dance. So getting naked for money wasn’t outside my comfort zone. I got into shooting mostly because I wanted to do stuff with bondage. There’s really not a lot of options to do that safely so that was what got me into it.
CJ: Doing the bondage thing, are you more submissive or more dominant?
London: I started out being more submissive and, as I was working for the company I worked for, I started to do bondage and it was the more technical things. So I’m a switch.
CJ: Were you a very sexual person before you joined the industry?
London: I was very sexual but with my partners. I didn’t have a lot of anonymous sex. If I was dating somebody then I started having sex with them every single time I saw them. But it was still that person.

CJ: How did you come up with your stage name?
London: It was just a couple of random names tossed together.
CJ: So what was your first scene like? You were sexually experienced but it’s different with all these people around. Were you intimidated? Nervous? Turned on?

London: I like a little bit of everything. When I started dancing, I was just forced to listen to everybody’s music all the time! At this point, I have almost no preference for music. I’ll listen to metal then listen to KPop. If you put my ITunes on random shuffle, it’ll be one of the most confusing things you’ll hear in your life!
CJ: Do you have any favorite movies?
London: The Shining is my favorite movie. It’s genius.
CJ: What’s your favorite TV shows?
London: Apparently I like old shit because the first thing that comes to mind is Cheers and Frasier. And M*A*S*H. I grew up as a kid watching M*A*S*H reruns and I still watch it.
CJ: What’s your favorite food?
London: Chocolate.
CJ: What’s the kinkiest thing you’ve ever done?
