Captain Jack: Tell me about Alix Lovell.
Alix Lovell: I grew up in a small town in Southern California. It was really simple, not a lot going on. My family are all members of a church and are very religious. There wasn’t a lot going on, for sure, that’s why I didn’t expect to get into porn.
CJ: How old are you?
Alix: I’m 25.
CJ: How long have you been in the industry?
Alix: Technically, I’ve been shooting for 8 months but I had a brief time where I wasn’t doing anything. I did two scenes and I thought it wasn’t going to work out. I went back home to my parents and then decided I really wanted this. I found another opportunity and moved back out to LA.
CJ: Why didn’t you think it was for you at first?
Alix: I was working at a church for the past 3 years and I decided that I was in a rut in my hometown. I was 23, 24 years old, going to college, living with my parents and working at this church. I needed a change in my life. My mom and me had a falling out and I tried to figure out what I could do to make money. My old best friend was a porn star and she had already gotten out of the business at that point. I thought I could do that because I was already a sexual person. I love to have sex anyways on my own time, so why not get paid for it? (laughs) That’s why I got into it originally. Then I had a few setbacks with my first agency and that was a nightmare. It was harder than I thought it would be at first.
I feel like I’m a pretty strong woman, I’m pretty smart, I learn pretty quickly and what I have right now, I pretty much built it up on my own. I’ve been in 8 months now, I’ve had a Porn Fidelity scene, I’ve had a Brazzers scene, I’ve had 4 Reality Kings scenes and a Hustler scene and I’ve had some help here and there from some people. Stony Curtis has helped me a lot. I’ve had connections, like numbers and emails, but in the end, I’m the one who had to initiate contact. Alix: Hayden Winters.

That’s something that’s good for someone and it’s healthy, if you feel good about it. If you feel like you’re morally torn and it’s not so good, then it’s not for you. CJ: You said you’re a very sexual person but you waited until you were 18, once you got the first one out of the way, did you become promiscuous?
Alix: Absolutely not. (laughs) My first 3 years of adulthood, I was with that same guy and I was very loyal to him. I didn’t sleep around. I didn’t even have the desire to sleep around because, in all honesty, neither one of us were very experienced so it wasn’t very good sex. I’m not going to lie. At 20 years old, I was a horrible lay. So, it was not good. I thought sex was overrated, I thought I didn’t need it, I thought I wasn’t a sexual person and then I met a man. (laughs) And he pretty much proved all of those theories wrong. I went through a slutty phase when I was 21 or 22. And then I was thinking about why I was doing that. I had reasons but they weren’t like the reasons are now. Now, I know why I’m doing what I’m doing and I’m doing it safely and I feel good about it. Back then, I was trying to fill a void. I was lonely. So that led me to the church. (laughs)
CJ: Were you with girls before porn?
Alix: Yes I was actually. My best friend, Hayden Winters, we grew up together and I also grew up with her husband. She was bisexual and she did a lot of girl/girl scenes. I didn’t know that I was bisexual. I knew that I was attracted to women growing up but I had never experienced being with one so I didn’t consider myself bisexual. And then I hooked up with her and I hooked up with some other women and I discovered that I really love women. I love women a lot. Alix: It’s so funny for me. I think most people are weirded out when I tell them this. I was not intimidated or nervous about the cameras or about the sex. I was most nervous about the acting and the lines I would have to memorize. That, for me, was terrifying. I already went through my slutty phase and when I was younger I was never afraid to show my body. I’ve always been very comfortable with my body so it was never an issue. So I like to just spend my days relaxing. What does that mean? I’m going to the beach, I’m laying out for a while or in my room watching Netflix. Something like that. Sometimes, every now and then, I like to go to Hollywood or LA and hang out with friends. I haven’t traveled in a while, but I’m a travel lover. If I get a chance to go anywhere, I’m on it. Alix: I like all kinds of music. I like rock, pop, hip hop, R&B, older music from the ‘80s. My iTunes are everything from Metallica to Shania Twain to Onyx and the Weekend.
CJ: Do you have any favorite movies?
Alix: My favorite movie of all-time is Nightmare On Elm Street. I’m a horror movie fanatic. (laughs)
CJ: What’s your favorite TV shows?
Alix: I grew up with obsessed with Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
CJ: What’s your favorite food?
Alix: My favorite food is, unfortunately, pizza. I haven’t eaten it for a while because I’m working on my body right now but I love pizza.
CJ: What celebrity, one male and one female, would you most like to fuck?
Alix: Matthew McConaughey. For female, I’d probably say Beyonce’.
CJ: What does the future hold? Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Alix: In 5 years, I’m hopefully still in the porn industry and booking work. I’m also doing cam and running my own website. Also, I still need a lot of training but maybe, someday to open my own agency.
